Frequently asked questions
What does it cost?
Nothing right now — we're not charging or collecting money at this stage. If we ever share the cost of a meeting space down the road, it would be a simple friends-and-family split of the actual cost, never a markup or membership fee.
What ages and grades is this for?
Potentially all of them — preschool through high school. Right now we're collecting rough grade bands (we ask for age/grade ranges, not birthdays) so we can see where the need is. What actually launches will depend on the families who show up.
How often would you meet, and in what format?
Undecided on purpose. It depends entirely on interest. The likely path is occasional meetups first, then — if families want it — a regular class day. We'll plan around what families tell us they want.
Where would you meet?
To be determined, and it's genuinely a data question: we're collecting ZIP codes so we can pick a location that's reasonable for the most families. That's the single biggest reason to share your interest.
What are parents responsible for?
Everything a home educator is normally responsible for. A co-op is a supplement, not a school: each family remains its own home school under Kentucky law and handles its own attendance and reporting. We help with some of the teaching and community; we don't replace the parent as the educator. See Requirements for details.
Are you Catholic? Do I have to be?
Yes, we're genuinely Catholic in our character and formation — and no, you don't have to be “practicing” or pass any test. Catholic and Catholic-curious families are both welcome; we just ask everyone to respect the group's Catholic character. We are an independent group of families, not a program of the Diocese of Owensboro or any parish.
What do you do with my information?
As little as possible. At this stage we use what you share only to gauge interest and figure out where families are. We don't sell it or share it, your data is encrypted, and you can ask us to delete it at any time. The plain-language details are on our privacy page.
